ISEV2020 Abstract Submission Information

Poster Guidelines

The maximum width of your poster should be 37". The maximum height should not go beyond 60".  Use a clear typeface. The poster should be readable from a distance of 2-3 meters. On the day of your presentation, you are requested to stand by your poster during your designated Poster Walk Session. Please be prepared to present your poster in a two minute oral presentation to the Session Chairs to be considered for the ISEV2020 Poster Presentation Awards.

Oral Presentations

Oral Presentations should be no longer than 12 minutes with 3 minutes Q and A, total of 15 minutes. You should be using a 4:3 ratio when creating your PowerPoint presentation.

 

Oral with Poster Presentations

Oral with Posters give presenters the opportunity to present their abstract in both Oral and Poster form. There are three Oral with Poster sessions in 2020 and each will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Those who have been selected for an Oral with Poster will present their abstract orally during the Oral with Poster session that day, and then later present their abstract by poster during the poster session.

The ISEV2020 abstract submission guidelines are intended to provide clear instructions for submitting an abstract. You are kindly requested to carefully read the guidelines before starting the submission process. Abstract Submission Guidelines can be viewed here.

ISEV and the ISEV2020 International Organizing Committee (IOC) maintain the right to reject any abstract that does not meet the stated requirements.

ISEV2020 Scholarship Information

 

New Categories of ISEV2020 Scholarship

 

ISEV is pleased to announce NEW scholarship categories for all ISEV2020 attendees (including oral and poster presenters). Priority will be given to applications from young researchers, early-career trainees, and early career research support faculty and staff.

 

1. ISEV2020 New Parent Member Scholarship (with children up to 8 years of age)

2. ISEV2020 Travel Scholarship for attendees working in World Bank Low Income Countries 

3. ISEV2020 Scholarship for Student Hardship: This category is for students who faced exceptional hardship in their careers to achieve their goals.

 

ISEV2020 New Scholarship Application

The ISEV Board of Directors is happy to announce these three new categories for ISEV2020. Each candidate can apply for up to 2 scholarship categories but will receive a maximum of 1 award in the amount of $500 USD. The deadline for this application is 27 March 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships are intended to support researchers (Students, Trainees, Research support faculty/staff and Postdocs) in pursuing their studies in the area of extracellular vesicles through attendance at ISEV2020. To qualify:

  • You must hold a membership with ISEV that is active for the 2020 calendar year.
  • You must be an author of submitted abstract (either oral or poster) for ISEV2020.
  • Must not have received an ISEV Scholarship in the past 3 years.

Young Investigator Junior Scholarship

Update as of 18 February 2020: We are working on scholarship selections and will get back to you on results as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!

Please review the following criteria to determine if you are eligible for a Young Researcher Scholarship:
  • You must hold a membership with ISEV that is active for the 2020 calendar year.
  • You must be a Junior Researcher who does not have a terminal degree (PhD, MD, DVM, etc.) or has obtained the terminal degree "within the four years prior to ISEV2020 (May, 2020)". A Senior Researcher is " > 4 years from" the terminal degree."
  • You must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted for oral presentation.
  • You were not a recipient of an ISEV scholarship/award in previous years.
  • You confirm that if selected, you will participate at the closing ceremony to receive the scholarship and the certificate.
  • Your abstract must be submit for an oral presentation to be considered for a scholarship award. If an abstract is submit by any other submission type, it will not be considered.

If you are interested in applying for the Scholarship, you may apply by submitting your abstract in the system. You will be considered for the scholarship if you fit the above criteria.
