Join us for a new SNEV EV Isolation and Characterization Series talk!

We’re delighted to invite you to our next online session featuring Dr. Fabrice Lucien-Matteoni, PhD, Assistant Professor of Urology and Immunology at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA).

Talk title: "Pre-analytical standardization, quality control, and transparent reporting in blood EV research: the MIBlood-EV initiative"

Why attend?
Blood extracellular vesicle (EV) research is highly sensitive to donor-related and pre-analytical variables, posing major challenges for standardization and reproducibility. In this talk, Dr. Lucien-Matteoni will introduce MIBlood-EV, a reporting framework developed by the ISEV Blood EV Task Force to transparently document pre-analytical workflows and sample quality—without disrupting local practices. This initiative aims to strengthen reproducibility, meta-analyses, biobanking, inter-laboratory studies, and peer review across EV research.

Dr. Lucien-Matteoni leads a translational research program on tumor-derived EVs, immunosuppression, therapy resistance, and EV-based biomarkers in urologic cancers, with funding from the NCI, Department of Defense, and foundations. He also serves as co-chair of the ISEV Blood Task Force, contributing to global EV research standards.
